So this is officially my first new post on my new blog. I have taken my previous blog (DIY and Live to Tell) and split it into two: this one (Swiss Miss Stitches), and one focused on cooking allergy-friendly and paleo-ish food (Swiss Miss Cooks). I’m still building that one out, so please be understanding of the construction dust. 😉
So for my first post on this new site, I would like to share a Table Topper that I made for a Christmas gift.
It measured about 24″ square, and was made with a mixture of reds, oranges, and some yellows. The girls (my guy’s daughters) picked out the pattern and the fabrics.
I ended up really liking the mix of colors and fabrics… might need to use those girls and their design sense again!
The backing fabric is really fun. We didn’t do anything fancy with the quilting, just some stitch in the ditch to make the squares on the front pop. We added a quilt tag, hand-signed by the girls, and then packaged it up and gifted it!
I’m excited to be back! Thanks for waiting for me…
